The Wall tool allows you to draw walls with various configurations. The “Wall” is the main tool for creating building plans and drawings.

Drawing a Wall
To activate the Wall tool, click the
button on the toolbar or navigate to Tools | Drawing | Wall. You can also use the Alt + W hot key.

You can create walls of the following configurations:
—
Straight wall. Start drawing: press the left mouse button (LMB). Finish drawing: press the LMB.
—
Polyline. Start drawing: press the LMB. Finish drawing: press the right mouse button (RMB).
—
Rectangle. Start drawing: press the LMB, drag, press the LMB. Finish drawing: drag, press the LMB.
—
Polygon. Start drawing: press the LMB, drag, repeat these actions. Finish drawing: press the RMB.
—
Circle defined by center and radius. Start drawing: press the LMB. Finish drawing: press the LMB.
—
Circle defined by diameter. Start drawing: press the LMB. Finish drawing: press the LMB.
—
A circle defined by three points. Drawing: press the LMB.
—
Arc, defined by three points. Drawing: press the LMB.
Parameters available before creation
-
Base point change.
While drawing a wall using “linear” primitives (polyline or arc), you can change the “base” point by pressing the Space key or by clicking one of the buttons in the Base section. (When you draw a wall in the shape of a polyline or arc, you can change the base reference point with the Space key or one of the buttons located in the Base point section).

-
Wall material. Before or after drawing a wall, you can select the type of wall materials.

Measure Thickness parameter, when turned on, lets you set the wall thickness with the initial mouse click in the topology editor.

-
The Thickness and Height parameters are used to define the wall thickness and height. You can use these parameters before you draw a wall as well as while you are drawing it. By default, the Height parameter of the wall is equal to the height of the floor.
Parameters available after creation
-
Convert to Polyline option.
You can convert circle- or arc-shaped walls placed on the scene into a polyline. After this, you can precisely adjust the shape and location of the wall relatively to other topology elements. To do this, select the wall in the project tree, press the RMB to display the menu, and then select the Convert to Polyline option.

After completing the conversion, you can adjust the dimensions and location of the wall on the scene using the editing markers located at specific points of the object.

-
Ignore during fire — If a wall does not hinder the spread of dangerous fire factors, it can be disregarded during fire dynamics simulation (for more information, see the section Ignoring Objects in Fire Dynamics Simulation).
-
Measure dangerous fire factors on surface — select this option if it is necessary to control heat flux and temperature on the object surface.
